Fletcher Standing and Centering Cues™. Acreditted with taking the Pilates work to vertical, Ron Fletcher's standing and centering cues place emphasis on vertical posture as an important part of good health and proper maintenance of the “inner architecture” of the body. Used as a basis for upright movement in the towelwork and magic circle work they are also applied throughout the program to assist with organising your body for correct alignment and precise movement.
Percussive Breathing™. Ron Fletcher's trademarked innovation is breath which has a "sound and a rhythm". It activates the muscles of inspiration and expiration within all movement patterns of Fletcher Pilates. It restores posture, activates the deep muscles of the core and enhances mental sharpness and reduces fatigue. The breath will vary in a class to reflect changes in dynamic, focus and intention to create a unique movement experience.

Joe Pilates was known to have wanted a Cadillac car because "it has everything and does everything'' With its design origins based on a Great War hospital bed the Cadillac does indeed have everything and do everything. An incredibly versatile piece of equipment which has specific exercises unique to its design and is also used to provide support and assistance to progress to more difficult movements on the Mat and Reformer. Magic Circle. A portable Pilates resistance ring that improves muscle tone, endurance, coordination and balance.
Mat Work. Reformer. Based on spring resistance the Reformer is the most well known piece of Pilates equipment. Incredibly versatile, exercises can be performed lying down, kneeling, seated and standing, incorporating exercises which can emphasize strength and endurance, spinal stability and mobility, and joint range of motion.

Wunda Chair. Based on a chair like design, the Wunda chair utilises spring resistance and body weight against gravity to work out the whole body. From simple stabilty exercises through to some of the more difficult in the Pilates reppertoire requiring considerable strength and control, the Wunda chair is an incredibly versatile piece of equipment.
Barre Work. Working at the barre focuses on the Pilates Principles of balance and stabilisation and the Fletcher standing and centring cues. Many of our classes include 5-10 minutes at the Barre. For strong, toned legs and great for stretching.
High Barrel. The high barrel consists of ladder-like rungs and an attached rounded barrel-like surface on which a multitude of stretching, strengthening and flexibility exercises can be performed.
