Pilates
All clients begin with a minimum of 1 Introductory private session. You can then discuss with your teacher whether to continue with Private's or join our Studio Quartets (Maximum of 4 clients) During your initial consultation your teacher will assess your body in movement, identify any postural or movement issues and introduce the Fletcher Pilates Standing and Centering cues. These cues assist in organising your body for correct alignment and precise movement.
Studio Quartets
Working in classes of no more than 4 people so that individualised instruction is emphasized, the Studio Quartets involve a combination of mat and equipment in our fully equipped studio. We also occasionally integrate TRX suspension system, Free form Boards and other non-conventional fitness aids for variety and functionality.We grade our classes from beginner to advanced so that you are working with people at a similar level and you are never left to work alone.
Privates
Individual sessions are based on the unique needs and goals of each client. One on One instruction utilising all studio equipment in addition to Cadillac, Wunda Chair, Ped-a-pul and High Barrel.
For variety and those seeking training methods beyond the Pilates world we also incorporate Roman Ring Training, TRX-Suspension System, Gym Sticks and the incredibly versatile Freeform Board (www.freeformboard.com)
Mum Plus One-Bring your Baby to class !
Get your pelvic floor and body back into shape while having the luxury of bringing along your baby, in a supportive, small group environment with other mothers.
The Pilates Body is now offering Mother and Baby Quartet group classes or Private 1 on 1 sessions
Organise a group of 4 with your mothers group or let us match you up if coming alone.
Each 60 minute class includes Mat and Equipment work while your babies sleep
(fingers crossed!) or play on our mats nearby.
For the majority of classes we also provide an additional teacher who will play, cuddle and generally distract your little one while you concentrate on your class. (Studio Quartet class prices apply)
Functional Training
Tired of your gym classes or boring, repetitive machine based workouts?
For those that want a more intense and physically demanding workout that includes full body strength and toning and flexibility work in addition to cardiovascular training, our Functional Training classes may be for you.
Each class is fun and varied and address's all of the components of fitness using Functional movements we use every day and in sporting activities.
Push, Pull, Drag, Climb, Jump, Run,Swing, Lift, Press.......We use non-convential training tools such as Kettlebells, Aqua bags, Clubs, Rope training, TRX suspension system, Roman rings, "Torsonators",Power Bands and balls in addition to bodyweight training taken from Martial arts, Pilates and Yoga.
This class caters to all levels of fitness as you work at your own pace. We suggest taking some Pilates class's first if you have a history of recent or chronic injury.
